Himawan P. Female principle as expression of humanistic pathos in F. М. Dostoyevsky's novel "The Possessed".

The object is a Dostoyevsky novel "The Possessed" which is dedicated to his scientific and critical literature, and journalism, and writer's epistolyary. This research is aimed to analyze the genesis, development and manifestations of the feminine characters in the "Demons" novel in the light of the traditions of humanistic ideas. Methods used in the research are the descriptive, structural, comparatively typological, the systematical analysis approach; The novelty of the work states that for the first time the analysis of Dostoevsky's novel "Possesed" was carried out in the light of the philosophical meaning of the feminine, for the first time Dostoevsky's work is considered in relation to the ideas of Indonesian Subud teaching. The results can be used while studying the history of Russian literature in the second half of the nineteenth century, and for conducting special seminars and special courses of study of Dostoevsky's creativity in the higher educational establishments, as well as in schools, grammar schools and high schools with the advanced study of literature.
