The thesis is devoted to theoretical and experimental studies of the the pressure swelling coal and coal blend that arises in the process of coking. An installation that allows you to determine the swelling pressure of coal and furnace feed in a wide range of densities, up to a density of tamping coal cake.The experimentally determined parameters of swelling pressure of coal varying degrees of metamorphism.The developed method allows to accurately and quickly determine the values of the swelling pressure of coal and charges, as well as to evaluate the various grades of coal in the preparation of coal mixtures for coking. A method for calculating swelling pressure of bulk batches of ram and nomograms constructed on the basis of the coking coals of binary mixtures of different brands.The research results are used when issuing the basic dates for reconstruction of coke batteries.
