Byelyavska O. Features of figurative and style compositional development of architecture of Poltava of 1920-1962

In the thesis the scientific study of the architectural environment of Poltava of 1920-1962 in the aspect of its figurative and style-compositional development was held. On the basis of the archive search and a full-scale survey the object material in 522 units of immovable heritage of Poltava during the period of 1920-1962 was collected, classified, analyzed and put into scientific circulation. The thesis for the fundamental for Poltava City concept of classicism received scientific confirmation. The role and the place of Poltava Soviet architects in building a unique image of the city were defined. The personal impact on the process of the creation of the city by the chief architect of Poltava A.-L.S. Vaynhort was discovered.
