Essay

Thesis deals with study of peculiarities of forming of cognitive disturbances of sick for diabetes mellitus of 2 type. As a result of complex examination of 112 sick people for diabetes mellitus it is established that disturbances of short-term verbal memory and attention dominate in structure of cognitive changes of sick for diabetes mellitus. Atrophic changes of brain are structural basis of development of these disturbances. It is established that people sick for diabetes less than 5 years have cortical and atrophic changes which dominate. If duration of diabetes is from 6 years cortical and cortical-subcortical types of atrophy are revealed. When making functional examination it is established that people sick for diabetes have pathologic types of Electroencephalogram - "desynchronous", "disorganized", "grossly disorganized" which dominate. When assessing visual evoked potentials it is established that people sick for diabetes have their amplitude decay and extension of latent periods of their late components. According to results of examination improved system of cognitive disturbances diagnostics is proposed.
