Aim of the dissertation - to educe traditional and innovative in conception of genre development of the Russian comedy of the second half of ХVІІІ of -ХІХ century in labours of B.Varneke by typology comparison with development of ancient and European comedy in the context of searches of previous and modern researchers. Genre conception of the development of the Russian comedy of the second half of ХVІІІ of -ХІХ century is firstly analysed in labours of B.Varneke in the context of scientific secret services of cultural and historical and historically-comparing schools of literary criticism. Methods: semiotic, historical and literary, descriptive.A sphere of the use is high school.
