Shpak I. Intertextuality in the language system of kossacks' annals

Object – The object of the research is the texts of Kossaks’ annals by Samovidets’, H .Hrabianka and S. Velychko, their prototexts (prior texts) and kinds of intertextuality. The aim is to accomplish a complex structural and functional analysis of intertextemes in the texts of Kossaks’ annals and define the lingual means introducing the intertextual elements into these texts. The novelty lies in the fact that the complex analysis of intertextemes on different levels in the texts of Kossaks’ annals and the lingual means introducing the intertextual elements into these texts has been accomplished in the Ukrainian linguistics for the first time. The findings include the following: according to the aim and tasks of the thesis the fundemental tenets of the intertextuality theory have been described as well as the definitions of ‘intertextuality’ and ‘intertexteme’; the peculiarities of intertextuality functioning in the texts of Kossaks’ annals have been examined; on the basis of the existing classifications there has been created the typology of the intertextemes; the functions of the intertextemes, the range of prototexts and the lingual means introducing definite types of the intertextemes into the texts of the annals have been analysed and described; The branch – linguistics of the text, textology, the history of the Ukrainian literature language.
