The object of the dissertation is multiculturalism as a scientific and philosophical reflexion of cultural diversity and the totality of approaches managing it; the purpose of the study is systematic disclosure of the nature of multiculturalism by explication and assessment of its value foundations and operational principles in aspect of philosophy of culture, the methods are the following: historical, comparative, hermeneutic, systematic; the novelty lies in the systematic disclosure of the nature of multiculturalism by explication and assessment of its value foundations and operational principles in aspect of philosophy of culture; the results may be applied in the studying process in universities of Ukraine, particularly in the general course of philosophy and also in courses of general problems of philosophy of culture, in moral philosophy, philosophy of education, philosophical anthropology, so on; industry - philosophical anthropology, philosophy of culture
