Essay

The intense ultraviolet luminescence of exciplex molecules XeCl* (308 nm), XeBr* (282 nm), and KrCl* (222 nm) at the excitation of nontraditional Xe-CsCl, Xe-CsBr, and Kr-KCl binary gas-vapour mixtures by a longitudinal pulse-periodic high-voltage discharge was obtained. At the excitation of a triple Xe-CsBr-CsCl gas-vapour mixture, a simultaneous luminescence of XeCl* and XeBr* exciplex molecules was obtained that extended the ultraviolet radiation spectral composition. The characteristics of discharge ultraviolet radiation were studied by methods of spectroscopy and the elements of the numerical simulation.
