Essay

The object of research is the process of competitiveness change and the grain processing food industry enterprises adaptation to influence of environmental factors. The purpose of research is the theoretic-methodical bases improvement of grain processing food industry enterprises competitiveness estimation and the systematization of practical recommendations in the form of a management policy type's matrix. Methods of research: analysis and synthesis, method of the retrospective analysis, structurally functional method, Saati's method and linear convolution, correlation analysis, economic-mathematical method of the regression analysis, normative method. Theoretical and practical results: the essence improvement of the "enterprises competitiveness" concept; methodical approaches to the complex estimation of competitiveness, as an extent of enterprises internal economic potential realization in market conditions, and to the firm competitiveness change forecasting under the influence of predicted external factors; the matrix of grouping types of enterprises management policy and define the effect from embedded recommendations for enterprises competitiveness level increase. New findings: the methodical approach to a complex enterprises competitiveness estimation is developed for the first time which, unlike existing, unites in the generalizing indicator the enterprise internal economic potential (firm competitiveness) and the influence of environmental factors, including features of their estimation that is the basis for effective management policy type definition. Practical implementations: results are used to create the perspective regional development program "Nikolaev area modernization and the role of youth in its realization", also results are implemented in management practice of "Nikolayevkhleb" enterprise and in educational process of Petro Mohyla Black Sea State University to form working programs of training courses "Enterprise economy", "Potential and enterprise development", "Strategic management", "Enterprise strategy", "Management of the enterprise potential", "Financial management". The area of use: estimation and ensuring the grain processing food industry enterprises competitiveness.
