Essay

A systematic linguistic analysis of microoikonymy in Ivano-Frankivsk region constitutes the originality of the thesis. The semantic nature of microoikonyms derivational model based on their classification has been considered. The ways of creating toponyms have been determined consequently that makes it possible to set toponimic formant microoikonymy efficiency in the analysis area. The term "oikonym", its functioning and using senses have been defined. The Ivano-Frankivsk region microoikonyms dictionary, which includes over 5 000 items, has been composed.
