A complex pharmacognostic study of three types of Levisticum officinale raw material - leaves, fruits, rhizomes and roots was conducted for the first time. In the studied raw material, the presence of material of phenolic nature (4 hydroxycinnamic acids, 2 flavonoids, tannins, 4 coumarins), 5 free organic acids and ascorbic acid, lipophilic compounds (chlorophylls, carotenoids, fatty acids), carbohydrates (water-soluble polysaccharides, pectin substances, 4 monosaccharides), essential oils, amino acids was determined and 25 macro-and micronutrients were found. A study of morphological and anatomical features of the structure of leaves, fruits, rhizomes and roots of Levisticum officinale was conducted, the main diagnostic features of morphological and anatomical structure on which were developed projects of the quality control methods in new plant material were determined. A pharmacological study of liquid extract of rhizomes and roots of Levisticum officinale was conducted; acute toxicity, the presence of renal effects with water and spontaneous diuresis, nephroprotector and аntimicrobial properties were defined. The positive decision on granting a patent for utility model "Way of obtaining health care product based on the pharmacologically active substance of plant material" (№u201200892 as of January 30, 2012).
