Essay

The dissertation studies modern models of local governments as a system with some components that have characteristics of self-regulation and reproduction, with socio-cultural background, structural and functional orderliness, institutional expression. It is proved that most popular in the world are two models of local governments: the Anglo-American and continental. Noted that in many countries, local governments is based on a combination of features belongs to various models of local governments; borrowing of elements of another model in its own national system leads to the hybridization of the system and to the separation of individual - "mixed" model.
