The dissertation reveals complex analysis of the influence of ethnonational factor on the democratic transformation processes in Ukraine. Problem field of ethnonational factor in modern Ukraine has been defined, and the author's interpretation of it has been given. Theoretic and methodological basis of the problem of ethnonational factor and democracy interference has been investigated. The difference between the notions "political nation" and "civil nation" has been determined.
