Sulyatytska T. Intercultural Interaction in Information Society: Communicative Aspect

The author analyzes the informational and communicative mode of societal development and shows its influence on the intercultural interaction. She underlines that the specificity of contemporary communication processes manifests in the creation of boundary situations at the level of society, some cultures and individuals. The understanding of human consciousness and culture's self-consciousness as out beyond their own experience in intercultural space, as an act of transgression is possible in such situation. The principles of multicultururalism and transversality are determined as the basic ones. The phenomenon of transculturality as a new stage of culture's development is examined. The human and creative orientation of intercultural interaction's communication potential is analyzed.
