Aksenov M. Scientific substantiation of the requirements to the system for a guarantee of Radon radiation control quality in the indoor air

The dissertation is devoted to the scientific substantiation of the resolving of the important tasks in anti-radiation protection of the population from the effect of Radon-222 in the air of dwellings connected with the methodological and metrological aspects of the realization of the irradiation control system. For the control of radiation-and-hygienic regulations of the Radon levels in Ukraine a method of passive track detectors using LR-115 nitrate-cellulose film as a detector was chosen. Application of such a detector requires a performance of the calibration of each film lot. As a result of this work the requirements to the calibration procedures and the system of inner and outer control of Radon measurements have been established. Authenticity of the obtained results of Radon measurements in the air of the dwellings were proved by the results of the international comparison with the laboratories of Sweden and Japan. A necessity of creation and introduction of the system for the guarantee of the measurement quality of Radon in the air of dwellings at the realization of radiation control of this source for a decrease of a dose load for the population of Ukraine from the technogenically strengthened sources of natural origin has been proved on the basis of the obtained results.
