Tataryn A. Parliamentary and presidential election campaigns at the regional level in Ukraine: Political aspect.

Principal approaches to understanding the key concepts of the theme of the research, including the campaign, campaign strategy, campaign tactics are analyzed. Expanded description of methods of scientific knowledge used in the study, based on which the author tried to achieve the objectives of scientific research is given. Analytical review of electoral legislation in the context of parliamentary and presidential election in Ukraine for the period 2002-2010 is performed. Western region of Ukraine is unique and it is different from other Ukrainian regions, due to historical and political circumstances and priorities reflected in the majority of its inhabitants' values and ideals. Tactical component of election campaigns 2002-2010 is interesting from the point of view of the use of various forms of campaign materials and promotional items applied in the direct propaganda campaign as well as indirectly through the media. Western electorate of Ukraine especially appreciates "live" communication, "people" style of campaign that is based on attention to the problems of ordinary voters.
