Holovach N. Lexical Romanianisms in the Ukrainian Language on the Dialect and Literary Norm Levels

The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of Romanianisms as of the borrowed vocabulary groups of the Ukrainian language, which reflects the peculiarities of interethnic and interlingual contacts of the Ukrainian people from ancient times to the present. It provides a wide historical context of Ukrainian-Romanian and Romanian-Ukrainian relations, summarizes the state of research on this issue by the Ukrainian and Romanian linguistics. The semantic and grammatical structure of Romanianisms, ways and means of their adaptation to the Ukrainian language was researched on the lexical material fixed in the dictionaries of the Ukrainian language, published in from the late nineteenth century up to today.
