The economical content of basic notions of motivation and motivation mechanism of personnel management is specified. The methodical approach for calculation of the motivation level of the labor productiveness, which depends upon the ability of the task fulfillment, motivation and resources; the methodical approach for selection and placing of personnel based on the structure of the motivation, which includes estimation of personnel needs satisfaction and the prevalent motivation type in selection and placing of personnel and the system of material motivation, based on key indicators of the food industry enterprises activities effectiveness and makes the motivation system boundary effective are improved.
