Essay

Dissertation covers the investigation of epidemiological regularities and peculiarities of rubella communication in Ukraine from the perspective of social-ecological concept of epidemic process. The state of anti-rubella immunity was determined in several age groups of the population in various regions of Ukraine; territorial differences in the values of population immunity level were revealed. It was determined that the proportion of children susceptible to rubella virus in the East and South of Ukraine ranged within 86.79 - 98.04 %. Possible cause and effect relationship between the dynamics of rubella morbidity in the conditions of planned vaccine prevention and the dynamics of epidemiologically significant social phenomena (demographic shifts, population migration) was revealed. For the first time, organization and results of the work of primary health care and national laboratory network for rubella diagnosis were analyzed. Electronic database of specific laboratory findings of rubella diagnosis in Ukraine was created.
