Potenko L. The Emotive Component of Meaning of Phraseological Derivatives of the German Language

This research focuses on the comprehensive study of emotional aspect of semantics and structure of phraseological derivatives derived from German phraseological units and their text-forming potential, based on the German literary and journalistic texts of the 20th and 21th centuries. The paper gives a theoretical basis for the emotivity as linguistic manifestation of emotions which can be expressed by language tools on all levels of language. Results of research indicate the productivity of derivational processes on the material of emotive phraseology. Basic semantic and structural mechanisms of creation of emotive derivative idioms of the German language have been established. Modification properties of parts of emotivity of phraseological meaning in the process of phraseological derivation are determined. Functional features of phraseological derivatives in the text have been identified. The contextual realization and the text-forming potential of individual author's transformations of emotional idioms have been considered.
