Essay

The research paper is devoted to the phenomenon of human existence confines overcoming on the basis of Western European and Japanese existential philosophy. It studies the pecularities of ecstasis understanding by representatives of Western European and Japanese existentialism. Determined that for both versions of existentialism personal existence is realized in ecstaticism when the self transcends itself beyond its limits. However, some differences detected in both Japanese and Western European understanding ecstaticism due to the specific worldview and traditions of philosophizing in the East and West, such as understanding of God's existence and nonexistence, attitudes toward death, identity, and so on. That explains why the subject, which should be the basis for the comparison of the phenomenon in concepts ecstaticism Western Europe and Japan should make the problem of existential nothingness or emptiness - that is central to both traditions. It was found that the yield of a person outside of its existence can be perceived as having a definite direction, and hence the nature of the concepts ecstaticism Western Europe and Japan has a certain existential orientation, acts as a basis for building typology of ecstaticism.
