Essay

The author analyzed the results of treatment in 190 patients with varicose veins of lower limbs C2-C3 class of CEAP dividing in three groups. Using of EVLC is better than traditional phlebectomy in early post-op period - it reduces rate of complication and reduces the time of disability, but in late post-op period causes specific complication - recanalization of vein and reflux relapses. After analyzing the results of EVLC and traditional phlebectomy treatment two new author's methods were proposed. Both methods are parts of new algorithm of surgical tactic consideration great saphenous vein diameter, presence of varicose dilated veins and incompetent perforators' veins. Choosing right surgical tactic with new algorithm caused decreasing of number of early post-op complications and relapses of vertical and horizontal refluxes in late post-op period.
