Berestovskyi I. The Role of Law Enforcement Agencies in Carrying Out Human Rights Protection Function

The thesis deals with the law enforcement agencies activities concerning its conformity with the European and international standards. Human rights protection in Ukraine is not only the leading domestic function of our state but it is also the strategic task of Ukraine as a democratic, social and law-based state. The author's definition of the notion of the human rights protection function is suggested. It stipulates principal way in democratic, social, and law-based state activities, in carrying out of which the system of organizational and law measures directed towards non-admission of illegal encroachments concerning human rights, rehabilitation of violated human rights, application of which is done by the subjects to public and private law on the considerations of the rule of law, equity and justice.
