Essay

The dissertation is devoted to determining the effect of the parameters of the oil pipeline operation mode and operating life on the characteristics of pipeline materials and determining the residual strength to enhance their reliability and accident-free operating. In the work the influence of long-term operation on the pipeline materials state has been determined on the basis of the developed mathematical model. We've studied experimentally the main regularities of steel fracture at the different levels of loading. We've assessed the residual strength and determined the hazardous linear sections of actual faulty oil pipelines. On using the calculations of the strength and long-term operating of the mail pipeline hazardous sections we've suggested to apply the rapid method of determining the characteristics of pipeline materials residual strength.
