Objective: to identify the types of genre structure of novels of Tolstoy and ways of synthesizing the epic and dramatic components and archaic genre parts . Firstly the typological relations between structures of genre novels of Tolstoy 1880-1890's are investigated, proved genrecreating tragic significance in epic structure of the novel "Devil", proved the unity of epic and dramatic story began in "Father Sergius," disclosed the value of the structure-parabola, which is represented in the Gospel allusions "Kreutzer Sonata."
