The main socio-demographic, moral and psychological characters former police officers, convicted for crime, were discovered in the research; their main characterological features are formulated. Minding existing approaches to the problem of criminals typology as well as the information concerning former police officers, convicted for crime, original typology of this type of criminals was suggested; it reflects the misuse of police powers during committing crimes.
