Essay

A thesis deals with a topical scientific problem - minimization of the environment pollution with wastes generated by the metal surface treatment technologies. Some special features of sulfosalicilic acid, some derivatives of urea and thiosemicarbazide effect on ecological and technical parameters of the surface treatment processes have been investigated for the carbon steel, copper and its alloys. It was found that specific emissions and discharges of some pollution agents (nitrogen oxides, iron and copper containing wastewaters) can be significantly lowered in case of application of the recommended compositions. Ultrafiltration and nanofiltration cleaning efficiency can be significantly enhanced because of the higher complexation activity of thiosemicarbazide and ions Fe3+, Cu2+. A higher environment safety of the recommended compositions has been proved in a series of the industrial tests at LLC "Chernivtsi Machinery Plant". Required quality of the surface treatment is kept and the base cost of the treatment technology doesn't change because of application of the recommended solutions.
