Essay

The first comprehensive analysis of literary works of writers-historians such as M. Kostomarov, P. Kulish, D. Mordovets, B.Hrynchenko, M.Hrushevsky and D. Yavornytsky is done. Also art texts compared with the historical prose of other artists of this period; invented the common and different features in their creative conceptions. Based on various analysis (typological, historical-comparative, literary etc.) specifics of artistic interpretation of historical facts, plot-composition features of works, historical characters and their prototypes and masks, language means of the historical prose are revealed.
