Yanyuk B. Reflections of Repentance in Musical Art of the last third part of the 20th century.

The author is searching the topicality of repentance as an idea and the reasons of its importance in the cultural and art life of the XXth century. There are concrete examples in literary, cinematographic, musical and other fields of art. The author is also trying to find out about the reasons of popularity of repentant theme in different arts at the end of the XXth century. The history of this theme is also analysed. It is claimed that the idea of repentance often appears in culminating point or peak of the history of art. Theoretical comprehending of repentance is started with religious point of view. There are theological readings of that conception (A. Surozhsky, O. Men, S. Sakharov, S. Bulgakov). The author is also searching philosophical base of penitential stage (Z. Freud, C. Jung, V. Frankl, N. Berdyaev). Repentance is also researched as moral phenomena and as an object of psychology of emotions, cultural studies, ethics, aesthetics as well. It is proposed to break up repentance into two stages – mourning and consolation. In the analytic chapter repentance is taken as a broad humane term as well as an idea of musical composition.
