Essay

The research addresses the issue of theoretical and experimental research of the development of valeological knowledge among students when applying individual health improving programmes in extracurricular activities. The essence and structure of valeological knowledge has been described. The necessity of the development of valeological knowledge when applying individual health improving programmes in extracurricular activities has been determined. The conditions of development of valeological knowledge among students has been proven and experimentally checked: assimilation by students of valeological knowledge, as a system within spiritual, physical, psychological, and social constituents of health (formation of knowledge about health as a unity within integrity of its constituents); broadening of valeological knowledge by using individual health improving programme in a person's life. The experiments have proven the efficiency of the realized pedagogical conditions.
