The thesis provides new approaches to surgical treatment of hiatal hernia by laparoscopic approach by optimizing the diagnostic and treatment process, as well as an objective assessment of the immediate and long-term results of treatment.Proposed protocol scheme intraoperative diagnosis and method of choice surgical correction of a short esophagus through the laparoscopic approach in patients with hiatal hernia. It also was developed to measure the hiatus, which allows you to "true" value of the hiatus size, which were determined during the traditional antireflux surgery laparotomy access with the fingers of the surgeon.Using the developed original techniques has improved the immediate and long-term results of surgical treatment of patients by reducing the number of patients with recurrent hiatal hernia, and improve the quality of life of operated patients.
