Potapchuk I. Folk geographical terms in West Podilya dialects

In the research work the geographical appealing words of West Podilya dialects in Khmelnytsky region (Vinkivtsy, Volochysk, Gorodok, Dunaivtsy, Kamyanets-Podilsky, Nova Ushytsy, Chemyrivtsy, Yarmolyntsy districts) and Ternopil region (Gusyatyn district) were described from the systematic point of view according to their structure and semantics. The factors of formatting and functioning of geographical were figured out in the named area. Рhenomena of possible semantic shifts were supposed to be, cases of terms parallels and semantic differences were distinguished within dialects and languages. Investigating folk geographical terms some peculiarities of nominative processes were outlined within on thematic word line of the words. West Podilya dialectual features were traced.
