Bakun O. Segmental Constructions in the Modern Ukrainian Language

The dissertation focuses on the research of development of structural and semantical and finding communicative and pragmatical peculiarities of three types of segmental constructions - a nominative of concept, a nominative of theme, a nominative of elucidatory-explanatory matter, and rules of their functioning in the language of the modern Ukrainian writers' works and the language of modern newspapers. Segmental constructions have been studied in Ukrainian linguistics for the first time, in particular - a nominative of elucidatory-explanatory matter - as a special syntactical structure (a segment and a postsegmental component of such structures have been analysed). It has made possible to describe contextual relations between the components of segmental constructions, preconditions of making context expressive.
