The present thesis is dedicated to investigation of the issue of legal status of the chambers of commerce and industry in Ukraine. The peculiarities of the legal status of the chambers of commerce and industry was studied, their place in the system of non-profit organizations in Ukraine was defined, the definition of the "chamber of commerce and industry" notion in the economic and legal context was proposed, and a system of features characterizing this type of the legal entity was determined.
