Essay

The dissertation deals with investigations of peculiarities of macro- and microelement status in children with epilepsies to deep diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. An integrated examination of 162 children with various forms of epilepsies, 30 children with non-paroxysmal neurological pathology, and 60 practically healthy children of age from 2 to 17 years old was performed.On the base of the data obtained a system of correction of element balance disturbances including individual recommendations concerning nutrition of children with epilepsies. It was proven expediency of inclusion in the treatment complex for children with this pathology Acetazolamide to prevent failures of pharmacotherapeutic remissions of epilepsies and Actovegin to normalize CNS energetic processes and to stabilize neuronal membranes.
