The goal of the thesis is substantiation and practical decision on improvement of surgical treatment results of elderly and senile aged men with inguinal hernias by research of preoperative forecasting, choice of alloimplant, study of morphological features of musculo-aponeurotic layers in the inguinal area, differentiated choice of hernioplasty technique and invention of new hernioplasty method using biomplant "Tutoplast".
