Babenko O. Poetics of V. V. Nabokov’s Drama Works

The object is V. V. Nabokov’s drama works; the purpose of the study is a multifaceted research of the poetics of V. V. Nabokov’s drama works: aesthetic and philosophical conceptions and categories, principles and methods of the organization of drama works; methods – structural, psychological, historical and functional, intertextual analysis, methods of comparative literary study; novelty – for the first time the monographic research of the problems of the poetics of Nabokov’s drama works is based not only on the context of author’s theoretical views on the drama, but as an inalienable part of the whole author’s heritage, including a screenplay «Lolita» which heretofore hasn’t been studied in any monographic research devoted to Nabokov’s drama works. The methodology of the research of the poetics of Nabokov’s drama works is defined taking into account individual author’s peculiarities of his creative method. Some notions, which have a special meaning in Nabokov’s creative work, were specified: «reality», «doubleworld», «otherworld», «wall», «poshlust»; results - can be used in academic courses on the theory and history of Russian literature, Russian emigration literature, in the development of special courses on Nabokov’s creative work, in academic and methodical manuals, and in the further research of Nabokov’s drama works.
