The analytical, hygienic, psychological, physiological, psychophysiological research, analysis of the physical and mental health of pupils of grades 9-11 at schools for children with hearing disorders were carrying out. In comparison with healthy pupils of the control group (without abnormalities of hearing), criterial indicators of the deaf and hard of hearing students' functional state, including its informational, psycho-emotional and vegetative components, were received. The results of the study of educational and extracurricular life conditions in boarding schools for children with hearing disorders have established prenosological diagnostic criteria of functional status and possible mental disorders in this population. It was the basis for a set of measures for correction of psychohygienic conditions and the nature of learning and psychological state of pupils in grades 9-11, aimed at preventing and (or) overcoming conditions, situations and periods of risk. New approaches and implemented recommendations directing to preservation and strengthening the mental health of pupils with hearing disorders in grades 9-11, including hygienic prenosological diagnostics of mental disorders' precursors and their correction with the use of psycho-hygienic practices were worked out.
