Essay

The essence and role of economic growth in social reproduction were examined in the thesis. The main models of economic growth and used factors were analyzed. The core of inflation as an economic category and the evolution of its theories in international economics were investigated. The main characteristics of interconnection and mutual influences of inflation and economic growth were defined. It was proved that in the economic conditions of Ukraine: 1) inflation had a negative impact on economic growth with time lag in a year, otherwise that relation wasn't statistically significant in a long-term period; 2) there was direct, and inverse relation between the studied categories, with low statistical significance in a short term. The copyright of "inflationary corridor" definition, which has the measures of inflation fluctuations under which economic growth is the greatest, was grounded. Economic and mathematical studying of the inflation's impact on economic growth gave the result that the optimal inflationary corridor for Ukraine's economy is the inflation rate from 3.5% to 5.5%.
