Essay

The thesis is devoted to the increase of efficiency of uranium deposit mining by heading-and-stall method under the guarded objects. In such conditions, there is a necessity of determination of permissible limits of steady cleavage. On the basis of that, dependence of steady equivalent span of the horizontal baring of the top is set on the depth of its location in relation to the ground surface. Formulas are proposed to determine these dependences during mining of near-surface reserves and on deeper horizons. Setting by reliability of structural components of the mining method, it is proposed to define the safety factor providing its safety for adequate period that provides safety of the mining works. To provide proposed permissible minimum parameters of the top, by the terms of stability, it is expedient to reinforce the rocks by the developed engineering methods and apply opposite-directed blasting of charges permitting to save the top surface and eliminate the entry of radioactive substances to the surface.
