Dissertation is devoted to theoretical research of legal nature, conceptual bases of institute of insolvency (bankruptcy) in the civil law of Ukraine. Special attention is drawn to the general theoretic concept of insolvency (bankruptcy) in the civil law of Ukraine, to filling in the blanks in scientific research of essence of institute of insolvency (bankruptcy) in a historical format on the modern stage, to clarification of maintenance and volume of concept of insolvency (bankruptcy) as institute of civil law, establishment of legal nature and characteristic signs of institute of insolvency (bankruptcy) in modern civil law.
