Romanyuk I. Rhythms and melodic organization melodies of Ukrainian dumas in correlation with the word.

The dissertation is devoted to the consideration of verbal and musical formulation of Ukrainian dumas materials and researches results of Kharkiv, Poltava and Chernigiv regions late XIX – early XX century. It was considered verbal and musical formulation as fundamental unit of shaping Ukrainian dumas, defined a role of formulas in the mechanism of creation of the epic in the context of discoursion «tradition – improvisation». It was analyzed common places of poetics Ukrainian dumas and made classification of verbal formulation of Ukrainian dumas. The dissertation investigated musical formula of duma recitative, their classification. It was found the interrelation of verbal and musical formulas and made textual analysis of the recordings of dumas with notations. On materials of the researches of duma epic it was set the influence of sociocultural factors on verbal and musical formulation. Using the method of S. Нrytsa, it was made paradigmatic analysis the duma «Widow» from Kharkiv, Poltava and Chernihiv. Based on conducted analysis it was set the classification of verbal and musical formulas, identified their individual, regional, general features. The research gives examples of typological affinity of verbal and musical formulation of Ukrainian dumas with South Slavic epic folk and Middle Eastern folk professional music. General melodic phrases were displayed typical for Ukrainian dumas and South Slavic folklore. It was investigate the difference of dumas from the Middle East and South Slavic folklore in the context of the identity of the Ukrainian epics.
