Sereda O. Jurors and class representatives in judicial authorities of the Ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire (the second half of XIX - the XX century beginning)

The author investigates the legal regulation of procedure of a selection the case of jurors and appointment class representatives; formations with their participation of judicial presence in district courts and trial chambers; status of jurors and class representatives in judicial production; occasions and an order of attraction them to legal responsibility. The dissertation shows features of activity of jurors and class representatives in the Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov trial chambers and district courts of the Ukrainian provinces of the Russian Empire. The author gives her conclusions concerning the researched issues. It is proved that democratic basis of formation of a jury of assessors and court with class representatives from competent and independent representatives of society; wide rights and duties of jurors and class representatives in judicial production; establishment for them legal responsibility in aggregate was made by conditions for their effective organization and activity.
