Yavorska T. Psychological help for cancer patients who underwent surgery with the formation of intestinal stoma

The observation of 120 cancer patients (62 men and 58 women), who underwent surgery with formation of intestinal stoma, defined clinical manifestations and regularities of psychological maladjustment in cancer patients with a stoma. It was investigated dynamics of psychoemotional condition of patients in the pre- and early postoperative period, intrapersonal and psychosocial predicative and preventative factors of adaptive capacity ostomy cancer patients. System of psychological help for cancer patients who underwent surgery with the formation of intestinal stoma consisted of psychodiagnostic, psyhoeducation and correction, included specific pre- and postoperative periods issues and based on an assessment of adaptive capacity cancer patients.
