Parasyuk E. Age-related changes proangiogenic activity of endothelium in patients with hypertension and its correction.

The dissertation is devoted to the study proangiogenic endothelial activity in patients with essential hypertension elderly and its relationship to NO-synthesizing activity of endothelium. In this paper it was shown that, as in elderly patients with hypertension, endothelial proangiogenic activity depends on its functional state, namely the NO-synthesizing activity, to increase the synthesis of vascular endothelial growth factor drugs should be used with endotelio protective effect (perindopril). Found that the use of ACE inhibitor perindopril improves NO-synthesizing endothelial activity and help increase vascular endothelial growth factor in 70% of elderly patients. In 30% of patients, the drug does not do the proper exposure due to the depletion of the substrate for the synthesis of nitric oxide by the endothelium. It is shown that the addition of L-arginine to perindopril therapy can improve the functional status of the endothelium by the granting of the substrate for the synthesis of endothelial nitric oxide synthesis and increase vascular endothelial growth factor.
