Object: the development of the methodology of teaching Ukrainian in inheritance of O.M.Beliaev. Aim: to signify the contribution of the scientist into formation and development of lingua-didactics and to actualize his ideas, propositions, recommendations in the context of contemporary science. Practical significance: the materials are introduced into the context of coarse "The methodology of teaching Ukrainian". Also they are used in the process of making tutorial books and research papers. Methods: historical and pedagogical analysis, are used as well as scientific-bibliographical, personalized-biographical, historical-retrospective, chronological, comparative and statistical approaches, systematization and generalization.
