Essay

The object is a series of novels of T. Hardy, works by I. Nechuj-Levytsky, Panas Myrny, I. Franko. The purpose is to determine the typological similarities and differences of the semantic content of the concept of destiny, to envisage and compare socio-cultural, ideological, artistic and aesthetic factors that led to commonality and identity at issue, genre structure, imagery works by T. Hardy, I. Nechuj-Levytsky, Panas Myrny, I. Franko. The methods are typological, hermeneutic, mythopoetic approach, cultural, historical, biographical. The thesis envisages a comprehensive study of rethinking the concept of destiny, its theoretical aspects within the problem definition of the concept of fate in fiction. The features of literary personalistic and perspective research of T. Hardy, I. Nechuj-Levytsky, Panas Myrny and I. Franko's creativity are investigated, aesthetical and philosophical aspect of the concept of fate in the realistic English and Ukrainian literature of the second half of XIX - early XX century and the correlation of realistic perspective prose with the literary and social context of their time are investigated, the system of artistic images in Ukrainian and English prose in comparative aspect is analyzed, the specific representation of reality in the works is traced, and typological similarities and differences in the implementation of the fate motif in the works by T. Hardy, I. Nechuj-Levytsky, Panas Myrny, I. Franko are revealed. The scope is learning process.
