The dissertation is concerned with the investigation of Kyiv Rus literary monuments from the point of view of self-awareness of creative personality. Under study there have been the now known Kyiv Rus monuments, created in the chronological bounds of XI - XIII cent. with the object of the presence in them of thoughts and reflections, which express the author's self-awareness, the peculiarity of literary works, motives that stimulated the author's literary creative work.
