Essay

The thesis deals with the research of technologies, methods and apparatus of physicochemical treatment of mine waters of coal mines. The analysis of existing methods of mine waters treatment of coal mines indicated the possibility and prospects of their intensification by means of water treatment in electrochemical reactors with bipolar electrodes. It has been confirmed that the consecutive water treatment on the cathode-anode surfaces of electrochemical reactors bipolar electrodes allows increasing the efficiency of electrochemical reactors apparatus for mine waters treatment from contained therein contaminants without introduction of additional reagents, only by means of the available in water metal ions, which form insoluble compounds in the processes of water treatment. The mathematical model of the technology of mine waters treatment from the contaminants in the electrochemical reactor- apparatus with bipolar electrodes has been proposed. The research allowed defining factors that influence the effectiveness of mine water treatment technology in the proposed electrochemical reactor apparatus. The method of calculation of the apparatus designed for the proposed technology of physicochemical treatment of mine waters has been created. The economic and environmental calculations have been performed.
