Essay

The thesis deals with the investigation of accurate differentiation diagnostic criteria of endometrial pathologic processes by the condition of the uterine cervix by means of experimentally elaborated and clinically proved laser polarimetry biophysical method of examination of cervical histological preparations in comparison with histochemical examination of the uterine cervix with underlying pre-cancer pathology and endometrial cancer. Reliable histochemical criteria are found to diagnose pathologic processes of the endometrium depending on the peculiarities of the ecto- and endocervix: the condition of the fibrous component (optic density and specific gravity) of the connective tissue, oxidative protein modification in the epithelium and the fibrous component of the stroma, which has become a pathogenetic background to apply laser polarimetry method. Photometric and polarizing criteria of laser diagnostics of endometrial pathologic conditions are suggested depending on the cervical state indicating malignization. Practical recommendations concerning the examination of patients with endometrial pathology are elaborated and introduced, allowing highly accurate differentiation diagnostics of underlying, pre-cancer processes and primary cancer.
